Satellite Dish - Eutelsat Satellite 7° East
|
Size
The size of the satellite dish depends on where you are located within the EUTELSAT
footprint. If you are within the footprint (most locations within continental Europe) a
75cm diameter dish is sufficient.
However, if you are located on the outer perimeters of the footprint, you will
likely need a larger dish to receive a strong EUTELSAT satellite signal. For more
information please visit the EUTELSAT website at
http://www.eutelsat.com/satellites/7e.html (satellite W3 transponder C12), click on "Coverages/downlink" and choose the left picture.
To know the size required for your location, check the following conversion table in parallel of the satellite footprint picture:

Pointing
It is important that the satellite dish is carefully positioned to receive the EUTELSAT
Satellite signal. For this reason, we recommend you to ask your local dish installer
to position correctly your satellite dish. Don't forget to check the following elements :
- Firmly mounted and located outside
- Have a clear line of sight to the 7° East direction
- Located within 30 meters from the satellite receiver box or PC card (If you have
to bridge longer distances than 30 meters, please consult your local dealer)
For more information about positioning the dish, please access the EUTELSAT website
at
