Betzdorf, 23 October 2003: Europe Online, Europe’s premier Satellite Broadband DSL
Multimedia operator announced today the addition of the Czech language
market and service to its ever expanding satellite broadband network and
thanked Strong CEE Ltd., its partner for Eastern Europe. The expansion
follows on the heels of the company’s introduction a few weeks ago of the
“Citizens Broadband Bill of Rights” and the its “DSL Volkstarif” of 9.90
Euro per month across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and the
Caucuses.
“Today’s launch of the Czech language service after the successful Polish,
Hungarian, and Slovak language markets shows our commitment to the expanding
European Union and those new members who will be joining ‘Euro Land’ as of
01 May 2004,” said Europe Online’s President, Candace Johnson.
“We want to make certain that all of Europe’s citizens can access Broadband
Internet in their own languages at affordable prices regardless of
geographic or demographic constraints, “ said Johnson. “ It goes without
saying that the strength of the expanded Europe is its rich cultural and
language diversity and that every European should have access to services -
particularly Broadband where access to rich content is vital - in his or her
own language,” declared Johnson.
“In particular, we would like to thank Strong CEE Ltd., our partner in the
Czech Republick, Slovakia, and Hungary as well as for other Eastern European
countries, for not only doing and maintaining the respective various
language services but for also being our local marketing, sales and delivery
agent in these exciting new markets. We already have more than 90% market
share in these countries for Satellite Broadband and owe that exclusively to
Strong CEE, Ltd., their CEO Jozsef Zsiman, and their re-sellers in each
market ,” concluded Ms. Johnson.
“Europe Online has been the leading force in bringing Broadband to the new
EU members and in destroying the Digital Divide in our countries,” commented
Zsiman. “In addition, Europe Online has created new opportunities for
countless of our re-sellers to sell, install, and maintain satellite
broadband for mass-consumers in the region. We are delighted to be creating
the Broadband World via Satellite together with EOL for citizens throughout
Europe,” concluded Zsiman.
